2025 Camp Info

Please find all the details for my camps that I am running below. Please note that the price is just for the tuition. You will need to book your own accommodation, flights and transfers, as well as lift passes, and have your own (or rental) equipment. The main winter camp are in Alpe d’Huez, whereas the end of season camp is across the valley at les 2 Alpes, which stays open a week longer (details at the bottom). Once a camp has filled up I will setup a WhatsApp group for the members and then you can share transfers and accom if desired.

CAMP 5: March 23rd - 27th (RED LEVEL)

Sunday to Thursday: 09.25 - 13.25

These are 5 day camps running 4 hours each morning. The camps have a structured coaching sessions with myself each morning, and then you have the afternoons free to ride for yourselves!

The camps will run at ‘Green’ or ‘Red’ level as outlined below:

Green Level

Confidently turning down Green Runs, it doesn’t matter if your technique isn’t the best, so long as you can confidently get down a green run, without falling over or stopping, linking turns the whole way. You should also be able to ride a Blue Run, slightly steeper, but you can still get down these. You may have tried a Red Run but this is where you really find your limit, and you’re not comfortable doing these yet. Black Runs you probably haven’t tried, and at the moment they seem too steep and challenging. With this group we would start on easy Greens and maybe some Blue runs. Whilst all participants can do these runs we want to cover all the fundamental techniques that we will need as we progress onto more difficult runs. The goal of the week is to get everyone more comfortable across the entire mountain. I don’t structure the weeks too rigidly as the groups ability, as well as the day to day conditions on the mountain, play a big factor in deciding what we can do. However if the group is progressing quickly then we can certainly move on to cover things like off piste, carving, and even park if people are keen. With 20 hours of coaching across the 5 days you will see big improvements in your riding.

Red Level

Confidently turning down Red Runs, it doesn’t matter if your technique isn’t the best, so long as you can confidently get down a Red run, without falling over or stopping, linking turns the whole way. You can happily ride, and get on and off, chairlifts. You may also be able to ride a pisted Black Run, slightly steeper, but you can still get down these. This week will again begin with looking at fundamental snowboarding technique, making sure you know the most effective ways to control your board. We will then look to apply these techniques to more advanced riding across the entire mountain. This could be working on carving, simple flatground tricks, and edge change drills on green runs. Practicing shorter turns on steeper Run Runs, looking to eliminate skid, and achieve an early edge change. We will work on how to change your riding and employ different techniques to maintain board control as you move from steeper to mellow terrain and vice versa. Ideally (if conditions allow) we will be able to try some off piste and variable conditions, once again linking the techniques required here back to what we’ve been practicing on piste. If your technique isn’t the best, that doesn’t really matter, this week will be all about working on those things. However if you put yourself down as Level 2, it means you are already confidently linking turns, in control, without stopping or falling over, down a Red Run. If you feel that you are beyond this level but you still want to work on your technique, you can also fit in with this group. With 20 hours of coaching across the 5 days you will see big improvements in your riding.

End of Season Camp - Les 2 Alpes

20th to 25th APRIL 2025 - 650€ PER PERSON (6 PEOPLE MAXIMUM) - red level

Sunday to Friday: 09.30 -16.00 (pause for lunch during the day)

This will be 6 full days of riding and coaching with me in the resort of les 2 Alpes. A full day of coaching can be a bit full on so it will run something like coaching in the morning, followed by a more casual session in the afternoon. However, things may switch depending on weather and conditions. This camp is aimed at riders who are pretty confident across the whole mountain but really want to hone in their skills and have a fun week at the end of winter. You should be happy going down red runs. Beyond this we can start working on steeper terrain, carving, park, and powder (if we get lucky!). The level is essentially that of the Level 2 that I have outlined above for the Alpe d’Huez Camp. The conditions could be anything, but 2alpes has a large glacier area which means there will at least be good snow cover higher up. Slushy spring snow is very likely but any conditions are possible. The last two seasons we have actually had great wintery conditions, often better than Jan or Feb, but I can’t guarantee the same again! See the instagram edits from 2023 and 2024 below:
